According to the book “Babar’s Yoga for Elephants” “Yoga helps us all to relax and draw strength from our inner elephant.”
I bet it works for humans, too!✌🏻

Just read a very disturbing article about the use of Asian Elephant skin for the treatment of human skin diseases in Myanmar and elsewhere. The scariest thing about the poaching of Asian Elephants for their skin is that it is indiscriminate. When elephants are poached for ivory, only male Asian Elephants are killed while females and young are left untouched. This use to give the Asian Elephant populations a certain level of protection. Now, they are all at risk. #elephants#elephantconservation#acrylicart#wildlifeartist#conservation#stoppoaching#abstractart#wildlife
How amazing are these sweet, rescued elephants!!?? Did you know that an average elephant’s life span in Asia is typically 60-80 years, however elephants that are ridden, or used for entertainment typically only live 30-40 years!? 😢 #bekindtoelephants#dontrideelephants
✖️#throwback to THE ELEPHANT PROJECT✖️
Last winter my full time job involved tracking and photographing elephants in South Africa 🐘 Here are some of my tops pics 📸
For me, as strange as it seems, navigating dangerous bush and getting chased by these grey giants is where I feel most at home 😂
Lately it’s been on my mind almost every second of every day so I’ve decided to make my first goal of 2018 to go back. Whether I get the job I want or not, next year this Kiwi will be in Africa 🤙🏽
It got me thinking about how lucky I am to have found something I’m so passionate about, and I’ve realized now how important it is for me to pursue that
✖️MAKE THIS YOUR GOAL FOR 2018✖️
Find that thing you love most in this world and do whatever it takes to make it part of your life 👊
Yesterday that Hugo Liebel and his wife, Franciszka were booked into the Lawrence County Jail on animal cruelty charges related to the Nosey the elephant. The judge will soon rule on her custody.
Meanwhile, Nosey is enjoying her freedom days at the The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. This is what her caregivers wrote about Nosey : “ She has spent a lot of time exploring the woods—stretching her trunk far into the trees to pull down branches and leaves and using her tusks to debark them. She has been observed utilizing the sand pile and scrub brush in her habitat. She has discovered harvested branches that Care Staff provide as enrichment and has figured out how to recover treats from inside enrichment devices that promote foraging. “ ( https://elephants.com/news/elenotes/posts/nosey-three-weeks-at-the-sanctuary ).
We hope that Hugo and his wife will get the maximum sentence for abusing Nosey and other animals and we wish Nosey a beautiful and care free life. We fought for her and are witnessing her freedom in our lifetime.

My first time ever seeing elephants was in Sri Lanka they were all over the place! I would suggest doing a safari through one of the national parks over these kinds of places though! Wish I would have done a bit more research on the “sanctuary” before going. No hate from others who have been here! Stupid tourist mistake I guess!
