Jesus can do it, just believe. (Rev. 21:5) "And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful."

Last weekend @kadampanewyork invited @ambersnider27 and I upstate for a mini meditation retreat, which turned out to be so much more than advertised. There was an impromptu trip to the local town in search of wine and cheese, just as the first snowflakes of winter were falling. Tea ceremonies with new friends, and snowy hiking trails where dainty zig-zagging deer tracks were the only other signs of life. Not to mention philosophical conversations as satiating as the home-cooked meals. It’s just a special place, run by wonderful humans, and if you ever get the chance to visit you should.
Buddhism and Hinduism are the dominant religions in Cambodia with monks moving around the city being a usual sight. The Western business and wealthy hotels for tourists have gone all out though to celebrate Christmas for their clientele. This scene with Santa and the monk looking away from each other epitomised for me the extraordinary opposites of these religions. One has become about buying things and the other is about giving up your earthly possessions. #christianity#buddhism#hinduism#religionsclash
Cringe alert 🚨 🚨 This was taken as I gazed upon bamboo shoots that sat across from a temple that we happened to stumble upon ( as you do in Kyoto). I remember being awestruck, it really made me appreciate beauty a lil' bit more. Since then I've been thinking about my trip to Japan. I've come to value the beauty of life a hell load more. I've found that the small things, things that I would've once found insignificant, captivate me even more so than before. So yeah, find happiness in the small things yall ✌️ .
