Photographer @drewgiggity shares this shot captured with the all new a7R III. This year, Sony topped @DPReview's "Gear of the Year" awards as the a7R III was selected as the "2017 Product of the Year". Check the link in bio for all the details.
"Early morning light breaks through the gaps of Mt.Cook which yields a dazzling array of atmospheric light and color. It was rather difficult to take this shot because the wind was roaring at around 20-25 mph which made getting a steady shot a challenge. Thankfully the wind died down long enough to capture this picturesque scene." | a7R III | 16-35mm f/2.8 GM | 1/30 sec | IS0 80 | f/22 |

Never say there is nothing beautiful in the world anymore. There is always something to make you wonder in the shape of a tree, the trembling of a leaf.

This year's entries for the National Geographic nature photography competition were all stunning – but we have a winner! 👏👏👏 The shot of an orangutan in Borneo by Jayapreakash Joghee Bojan has taken the prize. But there were some incredible winning snaps in other catergories too – like Karim Iliya’s dramatic Hawaiian volcano for landscapes and runner-up Yuhan Liao for a dazzling shot of the Duschanzi Grand Canyon in China.
Swipe ⬅️ to see them! (Credit: Jayapreakash Joghee Bojan/Karim Iliya/Yuhan Liao/ @natgeo)
This time last year, I was ESL teaching in Thailand where Christmas isn't an official public holiday but Thai kids get excited singing the first 3 lines of Jingle Bells.🎄🎁🎆I was stuck in a small town, northeastern part. All we could do was spend a few hours on a public park and gaze at trees lit with fairy lights. It's different in the cities - 711 staff wear Santa hats and some malls are decked out with decorations and there's a lot of partying!🎅😄. Festive or not, I'm thankful I experienced Thailand during the Holidays. Have you been to a place too where Christmas isn't a big celebration?
