I met Patrick the sheep. Of course we named him 😂😂😂 Patrick is sexist. He is male and doesn't like male humans 😂 so when I get close to him he lifts his front leg and rubs it on my leg. Apparently that's a hug. When the males get close, he is ready to fight them 😂😂😂 #AsambeKenya#thesolowanderer#WhyILoveKenya#AfricanTravelCrew
Growing up, we were never allowed to swim in the Mac Mac Pools big pool. We always had to swim in the small ones. Yesterday I finally got to swim in the big pool for the first time.
I always imagined the waterfall to be a lot higher but to my disappointment it isn't 😅 it seemed really high when I was younger.
We had an amazing picnic lunch by the falls and I refused to swim in the small pool cos I liked the big one. And the water was so amazing. #ExploreMpumalanga#thesolowanderer#AfricanTravelCrew
The Majlis hotel had a fully stocked bar. Alcohol is hard to come by in this area, and there is no night life unless you attend the party organised by the cops 🚔 but then there's the floating bar. Water cabs ⛵ are the only way to get from one island to the next or just from one side of the island to the other. This is the floating bar ⛴ and this is where we went for Sundowners. Filled with tourists and some locals. Most the locals being the water can drivers/conductors.
Oman style door. Made of Mahogany and the lock is at the bottom. The top is square unlike the Zanzibari style door. The circles are made up for decoration now but before they were styled to keep the animals away. In the old days the circles had spikes which animals feared.
Dreaming of the most perfect swim I've had for the summer 💦One needs a couple of days to discover the Panorama Route.
Bring comfortable walking shoes and tons of sunscreen.
Also always make sure you pack your cooler bag and picnic basket for the road ❤ #ExploreMpumalanga#thesolowanderer#AfricanTravelCrew
Nanyuki is a market town in Laikipia County of Kenya lying northwest of Mount Kenya. It is situated just north of the Equator (0° 01' North). Nanyuki is currently the main airfield (airbase) of the Kenya Air Force. The British Army also keeps a base at The Nanyuki Show Ground (NSG) from where it conducts yearly desert and jungle training exercises on the mountain and in the arid areas to the north.
Got to shoot at @fightwithinsight2017 on Tuesday. It was awesome meeting some of the guys there and hearing about the rad things they’re doing for the less fortunate in our city... @africantrvlcrew @iamjoburg
I kissed a guy from Canada in this Canadian canoe and nearly turned my world (beautifully) upside down ☺️ Paddling into the sunset, past water lilies and returning with thousands of fireflies in Govuro Wetlands and waterways, is possibly one of the most romantic experiences to be had when visiting Vilankulo.
Did you know that the Sterkfontein caves were declared a World Heritage Site in 2000? Another interesting fact is Little Foot, also known as STW 573, was discovered in 1994 in a cave at Sterkfontein in central South Africa. #cradleofhumankind#maropeng#africantravelcrew#africanbloggers#IHeartMySA . Photocred📷: @africantrvlcrew, @justtravln @neiljansson. We love how you're enjoying the beauty of our country. Happy travels and we can't wait to see more of these amazing pictures.
The @africantrvlcrew recently took a visit to the Cradle of Humankind and got some personal insight from Dr Robert Broom of the Transvaal Museum of Natural History( now the Ditsong Museum in Pretoria). This is what #IHeartMySA means to them and we couldn't agree anymore with them that these are just some of the treasures of beauty South Africa has that each citizen should explore. #cradleofhumankind#maropeng#africanbloggers#africantravelcrew#IHeartMySA Photocred📷: @africantrvlcrew. Thank you for taking part in our #IHeartMySA competition.
